HES Code Period in Public Transport in Istanbul Starts on January 15
Starting from January 15, 2021, the HES code will be an obligation for public transportation in Istanbul. The passengers must register their HES codes to their Istanbulkarts.
Following the mandatory use of the HES code, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) took the necessary steps for the new period and started the practice of matching HES codes with Istanbulkart. Istanbulkart, whose HES code has not been matched after January 15, will not be used in public transportation. Card users can enter their personal information together with their HES Code at //kisisellestirme.istanbulkart.istanbul/.
