Spring ’24 KU Guides Event #3| Playing Water Polo

This Saturday, join Burak for an extraordinary water polo event. The west campus swimming pool will be transformed into a place where you can experience the sport of water polo. Furthermore, you do not need to be a professional athlete to participate. Beginners are welcome!

What is awaiting you?
Our main purpose at the event is to provide opportunities for people who have never tried playing water polo before.
Initially, our KU Guide Burak will demonstrate some skills, such as how to catch and throw the ball, in an accelerated training session. Immediately following the training, we will have a short water polo match just for fun.
This activity will be like entering a water polo game that appeals to everyone. It will be mixed gender. Since everyone will be a beginner, the match will not be very intense. Burak will play by slightly changing and stretching the rules. Participants will play water polo with support from the ground.
It’s important to note that participants must know how to swim to ensure safety during the activities.
Event Plan
6:30-6:45 PM: Preparation (Stretching)
– Be dressed and ready at the pool at 6:30 PM since Burak will be waiting for you there! Arriving 15 minutes early is recommended to avoid delays in the dressing room!-
6:45-7:00 PM: Accelerated Training
7:00-8:00 PM: Water Polo Match
