Fall ’23 KU Guides Event #7| Nature’s Haven: Maçka Park Picnic Retreat

This Saturday, join our KU Guide Gülce for a picnic at Maçka Park. We will gather at one of the most central places in Istanbul to enjoy the lush greenery and each other’s company. The park provides the perfect setting to unwind, relax, and catch up with friends. You can also look forward to playing games like cards or board games. We hope to see you there!

What is awaiting you?
At this event, we are going to have a picnic in Maçka Park. Participants may bring food and beverages with them or buy them before going into the park. They are also encouraged to bring or introduce any type of game to play during the picnic.
Event Plan
10:00 AM: Meeting at the West Campus Entrance
10:15 AM: Walking to the West Campus Bus Stop
10:30 AM: Taking the bus to Hacıosman Metro (150/154/Minibus)
11:00 AM: Meeting at Hacıosman Bus Stop (Taking the M2 line to Osmanbey)
12:00 PM – 12:15 PM: Walking from Osmanbey to Maçka Park
12:15 PM – 12:30 PM: Shopping at the Macro Center near the Park to buy some food and beverages for the picnic
12:30 PM – 01:30 PM: Setting up the picnic area and enjoying our meal
01:30 PM – 03:00 PM: Playing cards or board games, depending on the group’s interests, until the end of the day.

Where and when to meet the KU Guides and the group?
- West Campus Entrance at 10:00 AM
- West Campus Bus Stop (Sarıyer Evleri) at 10:15 AM
- Hacıosman Bus Stop at 11:00 AM
Do I have to pay for anything?
Participants are responsible for covering their expenses, which include transportation, food, and beverages.
We recommend carrying some cash with you, at least 60₺, in case we use a minibus as public transport. Also, don’t forget to bring your Istanbulkart (public transport card).
