We’ll be watching ‘Kuru Otlar Üstüne’ (Don’t worry; it comes with English subtitles) at Kadıköy Cinema. Kadıköy is a bustling hub where locals, especially students, often spend their time. Going on a movie date in Kadıköy offers a unique and authentic Istanbul experience. We hope you’ll enjoy the cinematic adventure at the historic Kadıköy Cinema and engage in discussions along the charming streets of Kadıköy after the movie.
Event Plan
KADIKÖY CINEMA TIME PLAN WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON THURSDAY, SO WE WILL BUY THE TICKETS ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 12, 2023!
17:30 PM: Meeting at the Main Campus Bus Station.
17:45 PM: Meeting at West Campus. We will travel by minibus from Sarıyer to Beşiktaş, then take a ferry from Beşiktaş to Kadıköy.
20:00 PM – 00:00 AM: Enjoy the movie (the movie is approximately 3 hours and 17 minutes long, so plan for about 4 hours).
Based on participants’ preferences, we can choose to stay in Kadıköy and extend our time there. 00:00 – 02:00 AM: There are two options for returning. We can either take a dolmuş (similar to a minibus) from Kadıköy to Taksim and then catch the bus no.40 to the campuses, or we can use the metro from Taksim to Hacıosman and take a taxi from Hacıosman to the campuses.

- West Campus Bus Stop at 5:45 PM
Do I have to pay for anything?
Participants are responsible for covering their expenses, which include transportation, food, beverages, and movie tickets.
We recommend carrying some cash and a public transport card (İstanbulkart) with you.
