Do not miss the workshop!
What is Marbling (Ebru)?
Marbling is a traditional and extraordinary art that brings dyes and water together. Simply, we spread the marbling-specific paints onto the surface of the water and create various shapes, then collect it onto the paper. To make marbling in the most original way, all of the materials that are used are natural! The dyes are made from the pigments of colorful soils, rocks, and coal, the brushes consist of horsehair wrapped in rose branches, and to make the water denser, carrageenan is used.
With marbling, there is no limitation on what you can create! Although there are traditional types of marbling patterns, such as Stone, Back and Forth, Swirl, etc., with a color, a brush, and a brad awl, you can make your own masterpiece.
