This Saturday, join our KU Guide, Zeynep Sude, for an exploration of one of Istanbul’s most beautiful neighborhoods. Balat-Fener is renowned for its colorful and vintage houses, as well as its elegant historical buildings. Don’t miss the opportunity to capture some of the most stunning pictures of Istanbul!
You’ll also have a chance to witness a unique experience: Mazat!

We will explore one of Istanbul’s most beautiful neighborhoods, Balat-Fener, known for its colorful and vintage houses, as well as its graceful historical buildings. Don’t miss the chance to capture some of the most beautiful pictures of Istanbul! After exploring the neighborhood’s must-see points, you’ll also have the opportunity to witness a unique event called Mazat, which features the sale of vintage pieces.

Noon – 12:30 PM – Visit Fener Evleri 3
12:45 – 1:45 PM – Coffee and Lunch/Breakfast Break at Yıldırım Caddesi Kafeler Bölgesi ve Renkli Kapılar
1:50 – 2:10 PM – Explore Renkli Merdivenler (Photo Time)
2:10 – 2:40 PM – Visit Özel Fener Rum Lisesi and Kanlı Kilise (Note: No entrance allowed, but the structures are gorgeous)
2:40 – 3:30 PM – Discover Kiremit Caddesi Evleri
3:30 – 4:15 PM – Dinner or Coffee Break
4:15 – 5:30 PM – Attend Fener Antik Mezat
5:30 – 7:30 PM – Return to Campuses

Do I have to pay for anything?
Participants are responsible for covering their expenses, which include transportation, food, and beverages.
We recommend carrying some cash with you, at least 60₺. Also, don’t forget to bring your Istanbulkart (public transport card).
