As the ICO, we advise that you wait for your residence permit card to arrive before you leave the country.

Departing from Türkiye before your residence permit application is evaluated may result in the rejection of your application. If you must leave the borders prior to your residence permit card arrival, you can do so after your residence permit application is evaluated positively.

To check the status of your application, please follow the information on our Tracking SRP page. If your residence permit application is evaluated positively, you should press the “Print Application Document” button immediately and download the “Müracaat Belgesi”. With this, you can exit the borders with it for 15 days.

NOTE: If your old residence permit is still active or you came to Türkiye with a visa exemption/multiple entry visa, you do not need to wait for your residence permit application to be approved to exit the borders.
